I am trying to improve my level in Levantine Arabic by listenig to some artists. While translating the lyrics of a song, I found this sentence “ظغطوك لاكسرت كفه” which I have difficulties to get. Could anyone gimme a hint or explain it ? Thanks in advance 🙂

Are you sure you have written each word correctly?

ضغطوك They pressured you
ل until
Is it اكسرت or كسرت ?

انكسرت got broken
كسرت you broke
كفه could be “his palm” or “his slap”

They pressured you until you broke his palm
or
They pressured you until his palm got broken

So, to give you the context, the verse is from the song “ما بعرف” from the syrian artist “بو كلثوم” . This is the sentence within the whole verse :

ضغوطتك لانكسرت كفّه
رماد منفضتك طفّت
بعد الهزيمة عيد الصّفة
صلب بعمرة ما شاف لفة
شلحت حالك، والسقطوا كتار
لعيون الحبسوك بعار
ياما شعّلت اصابيعك نار
بس آخر شي بعيونهن طفّي

I do not expect to get a translation of the whole part, just to give you the context. Anyway, I advice you to listen to the song too, it gives real goosebumbs!
