    <div>

    !السلام لكم جميعًا

    </div><div>

    I recently came across the verb أَوَىٰ (to seek refuge) and was curious how to conjugate it, particularly in the imperative (الأمر) form and/or following لم. I know that in such forms the final internal vowel is مجزوم but I am curious what that would look like on a فعل لفيف (weak verb) such as this one.

    If possible, while demonstrating the conjugation of this verb could you also list the internal إعراب? I am interested in seeing what happens within the word.

    Thanks everyone!

    I believe it’s conjugated the same as أتى (to come). The medial و always manifests as a consonant in this verb, never a (long) vowel as in regular hollow verbs. Wiktionary has it right: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D8%A3%D9%88%D9%89#Conjugation

    (And compare with أتى https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D8%A3%D8%AA%D9%89#Conjugation )

      This is great! Thanks for looking into this for me. The middle و is what threw me off, but I guess since it’s voweled with فتحة the و itself manifests as a consonant.

      Thanks for looking into this for me!
