I recently started learning with the Anki deck for “Levantine Arabic Colloquial Vocabulary”, and there are a couple of expressions that I don’t quite understand:
1. “3índak íxwi banēt?” is translated as “Do you have any brothers or sisters?” Is that right? Is the “or” just understood? To me it looks like it means “Do you have any female siblings?”
2. “3índi ixtēn ákbar mínni uwáɧdi áʂɣar.” is translated as “I have two older sisters and one younger brother.” Where does it say “brother”? I would interpret that as “I have two older sisters and a younger one (i.e. sister).”
