Use Anki’s SRS (spaced repetition system) to study Russian verbs, while improving your listening and reading skills and overall fluency. Anki is a free desktop software program that intelligently schedules items to be reviewed at the most efficient time possible.
Card layout: 1) Russian verb form or example sentence; 2) On reveal, part of speech (conjugation label) while audio plays; 3) English translation of base verb or example sentence (Watch video to see the cards in action.)
With over 1,000 flashcards, this Anki deck contains all of the conjugated verb forms, example sentences, collocations, idioms, proverbs, and expressions from Essential Russian Verbs. The deck includes reverse-cards, bringing the actual total number of cards to over 2,000. These reverse-cards show the English translation first, forcing you to see how well you can recall the Russian. See the sample images to get a better understanding of the cards’ layouts.
Audio, recorded by native speakers of Russian, accompanies each card.
The default setting on Anki is to introduce 20 new cards per day. If you want to change the daily new-card limit, you can do so by going into settings → options (next to the deck’s name).
Audio: Press r to repeat a card’s audio. You can record your voice (shft+V) and replay it (v) to compare your pronunciation. For any other questions regarding the use of the Anki program, please refer to the documentation on the Anki site.
