The Arabic texts appear on even-numbered pages, while the English translations can be found on the following odd-numbered pages along with cultural and language notes, as well as photographs.
Dozens of beautiful illustrations can be found throughout the book to help the reader better understand the texts. Audio professionally recorded by voice actors in Cairo is available to stream or download free of charge.

I read the first chapter and it’s so cute. Several new words for me but I could figure out most of them from the English paragraphs. the audio is fabulous, clear and fun to listen to when reading.

Thank you so much for this amazing resource. It’s very difficult to find extensive listening material with transscripts in colloquial Egyptian (or any other dialect). The audio is very crisp and the voices of the various characters are easy to distinguish. There are also a lot of expressions that you won’t find in a textbook, and cultural information (Nesto? french fries for breakfast? who knew?).
