1 review for Tunisian Colloquial Arabic Vocabulary

  1. Rated 5 out of 5

    Sheila Trabelsi

I received this Colloquial Tunisian Vocabulary book as a request in order to provide an honest review. I have purchased other Tunisian arabic language learning books and was always disappointed and more confused than when I started and provided irrelevant examples. One of my biggest complaint was the need for an audio component to my learning to which I had requested from the authors of other tunisian language resources. Tunisian arabic is a difficult dialect to master in my opinion and I needed all the help I could get. When I received this book the first thing I noticed and liked was how it was organized. It included a huge vocabulary including some more vulgar terms making it a very complete and well rounded vocabulary book. The topic range is also broad and covers everything under the sun. It provided relevant useful terms that will help me in my travels and communication skills with my in laws. Since I have also been learning modern standard arabic alphabet I like how it splits each word in 3 parts: the English translation, tunisian written term and then is written again in arabic script. I am very pleased with this book and am interested in checking out additional books by this author. One thing is for sure this book will be in my carry on each time I return to Tunisia and with its help someday I will master the language of my second home.
