1. About these Terms

These Terms apply to purchases from Lingualism.com and use of Interactive Editions at learn.lingualism.com. “Lingualism,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Lingualism LLC.

Our product descriptions and your selected purchase option identify the formats and features included in your order. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Refund Policy explains refunds and additional first-year closure protection for Interactive Editions.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. A promise made when you purchased is not reduced by a later general policy update.

2. Accounts

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to purchase through this website. Provide accurate account and purchase information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not sell, transfer, or share your account.

3. Products and purchases

We sell downloadable digital products and online Interactive Editions. No physical books are shipped by Lingualism.com.

PDF eBooks, Anki flashcards, Premium Audio, and Interactive Editions are distinct products unless the selected offer expressly includes them together. A bundle contains only its listed components. Buying a paperback, PDF, or Anki deck does not automatically include an Interactive Edition.

A purchase grants a license to use the specified content; it does not transfer ownership of its copyright.

4. Downloadable products

Your order confirmation email includes a button to view your order. Sign in to access the download links on your order page.

Any stated download limit applies to delivery of files, not to use of a lawfully downloaded copy or to the number of times you can open an Interactive Edition. Please download your files and keep a backup. If we change download availability, we will give advance notice and a reasonable opportunity to save files, subject to the promises and rights applicable to your purchase.

5. Interactive Edition access

An Interactive Edition is the hosted online version of a specified learning product. A standalone purchase does not include a downloadable copy of the edition or book. PDF eBooks, Anki flashcards, and other formats are included only when expressly listed in your selected offer.

Sign in at learn.lingualism.com using the Shopify customer account associated with your purchase. Contact us if a purchased edition does not appear in your library.

You need an internet connection and a compatible browser and device. Any limited export offered within a feature does not provide an offline copy of the complete edition. Features vary by title; consult the product description and preview.

You pay once for access to the purchased edition for as long as we continue to make that edition available, subject to these Terms. There is no recurring access fee. This is not a promise of perpetual availability and does not include other titles or separately sold products. We will not charge a new fee merely to continue access already promised for your purchased edition.

6. Personal use and intellectual property

Your license is non-exclusive, personal, and non-transferable, for your own non-commercial learning. You may use your account on your own compatible devices. You may keep downloaded files and backups on your own devices and print a purchased PDF for your personal use.

Except where we give written permission or applicable law permits it, you may not share account access, distribute, upload, resell, or transfer our content, or make it available to other people.

The content remains protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights. Ending a file-delivery service does not by itself revoke your right to use a lawfully retained copy within this license.

7. Account restrictions

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these Terms, reasonably suspected fraud, unlawful use, or a genuine security risk. Where practical, we will explain the issue and give you a reasonable opportunity to resolve it first. Immediate restrictions may be necessary to prevent harm or comply with law.

You can contact us to request a review. We will consider relevant information, correct mistakes, and restore access when the grounds for restriction no longer apply. We will not permanently end a valid purchase for a minor or remediable breach without a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Legally required remedies remain available.

8. Service changes and permanent discontinuation

We may make reasonable technical, security, accessibility, and legal-compliance changes. For changes materially affecting purchased access, we will provide reasonable advance notice and any choices or remedies required by law, unless urgent circumstances prevent advance notice.

Permanent discontinuation may become necessary because of legal restrictions, essential technology that cannot reasonably be replaced, an unresolved serious security problem, or genuine closure of the relevant learning service or business. We will act reasonably, consider practical ways to preserve purchased access, and comply with our obligations to customers. This does not permit arbitrary removal of an individual customer’s valid access or avoidance of existing purchase promises.

Ending sales to new customers does not by itself end existing customers’ access.

If we plan to permanently discontinue purchased access, we will normally provide at least 30 days’ advance notice by email and on the learning platform. The notice will identify the affected edition, reason, final access date, and applicable refund arrangements. If legal or urgent security circumstances prevent that notice, we will give as much notice as reasonably possible. Any longer notice required by law still applies.

Our Refund Policy provides additional prorated protection if purchased access is permanently discontinued within its first 12 months. That protection is not the duration of your access or a limit on mandatory rights or other contractual remedies.

9. Technical problems and refunds

We will provide the products and access described at purchase with the care and standards required by law. We do not promise compatibility with every device. Please report problems so we can investigate.

We make reasonable efforts to keep Interactive Editions available and functioning. Access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, updates, technical faults, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access and will take reasonable steps to restore service when problems arise. Temporary interruptions do not by themselves constitute permanent discontinuation or trigger our additional first-year closure refund. Nothing in this provision limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, including those relating to serious or prolonged failures to provide purchased access.

Please explore the available free preview and read the product description before purchasing an Interactive Edition. Except where required by applicable law or expressly provided in our Refund Policy, purchases are final. We do not offer refunds simply because you change your mind, decide the edition is not suitable for your preferences or study needs, or do not use it. This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty, inaccessible, or materially different from its description, or your rights under our additional first-year closure protection.

Our Refund Policy applies to downloadable products, Interactive Editions, and bundles. Nothing excludes legally required cancellation or refund rights.

10. Payments and gift certificates

Payment providers may sometimes hold payments for review, delaying access until payment is completed. Contact us if an order remains pending.

You may purchase a Lingualism store gift certificate, listed in our shop as a Gift Card, providing credit toward purchases. Follow its redemption instructions. Its stated terms and applicable law apply.

11. Communications and feedback

We use your email address for orders, account access, support, and important product notices. Marketing emails are optional, subject to your choices and applicable law. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential account or purchase messages. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is used and disclosed.

By submitting a review or testimonial, you grant Lingualism a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that submission for promotional purposes. Your submissions must not infringe others’ rights or contain unlawful, abusive, or obscene material.

12. Liability and governing law

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or removes mandatory consumer rights. The first-year closure refund is an additional promise, not a cap on liability or your sole remedy. We remain responsible for our contractual obligations and loss for which applicable law makes us responsible.

California law governs these Terms except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Consumers retain mandatory protections and court rights applicable in their country or place of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

The terms and product description in effect at purchase govern that purchase. We may update these Terms for future purchases and will identify their effective date. We will not use an update to remove rights or materially reduce purchased benefits without a lawful basis and any consent required by law. Continued use alone does not waive mandatory rights.
