Series Information

This book is the second in a two-part series. Learners who are not yet at an intermediate level are encouraged to start with Shuwayya ‘An Nafsi, which provides additional support such as phonemic transcriptions and detailed glossaries for elementary-level learners. In Kamaan Shuwayya ‘An Nafsi, only glossed words include phonemic transcriptions, while common vocabulary appears in a comprehensive glossary at the back of the book. The responses in this volume are typically longer and more complex than those in the first book.

Additional Resources

For advanced learners, the texts are reproduced again at the back of the book without voweling (tashkeel) or translations (Appendix B) to provide a more challenging reading experience. Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) translations (Appendix C) are also included, allowing learners proficient in MSA to compare its structures with those of Egyptian Colloquial Arabic (ECA).
