Levantine Arabic Verbs presents 100 conjugation tables with example sentences, a grammar reference, and indexes with 750 verbs that can be conjugated using the conjugation tables as models.

Master verb conjugation in northern Levantine Arabic by seeing, hearing, and repeating verbs used in context–not from tedious rote memorization of long lists of conjugated verbs in isolation. Levantine Arabic Verbs: Anki Flashcards presents all of the 550 example sentences from the book, each presented twice for a total of 1,100 cards with audio:

  1. Arabic-English cards are cloze exercises with a prompt and hint to help you come up with the correct verb form on your own.
  2. English-Arabic cards test your memory and translation skills.

Each card references the relevant table number from the book and plays audio of the Arabic sentence when the answer is revealed.

Click on the video above to see and hear the cards in use. As you can see in the video, the deck starts with Table 1 (unless you have your Anki settings on ‘random order’). You can also create a ‘custom study’ deck and choose different verbs to focus on first.

  1. Munazza

    MUNAZZA

One of the best ways for learning the language, specially since it helps in familiarization of words and phrases. I have started ‘not to mentally rehearse first’ before talking in Arabic. 🙂

I highly recommend this along with the book. Each verb is broken down with the text, translation and the audio into easy to use flash cards. These have been fantastic for me and improved my Arabic.

  3. Calvin

Only includes the example sentences, not the full conjugation tables. Not that it said it would… But I was hoping to have flashcards that would help me practice all the conjugations. I am creating my own flashcards now from the tables in the book, and it is very time intensive (though also a good learning strategy, to be fair). Would love if they came out with an Anki deck for the actual verb tables not just the examples
